Registration is now open for the California chapter's annual meeting in Morro Bay, CA from 26-28 April 2019. This year's Meet in the Middle will be a warm up event for our hosting the National meeting here in California, so we are taking the event up a notch or 2. We will be staying and dining at the Inn at Morro Bay. It's located in Morro Bay State Park on the shore of Morro Bay estuary. It's a really nice place to stay that your S.O. will approve of; should they be inclined to come along.

The shooting activities and the Chapter Meeting will be held at the San Luis Obispo Sportmen's association, a great facility in a beautiful spot on the central coast.  Come join your old LGC pals and meet new friends at the highlight of the LGCCA's calendar.  For info about the range: Be prepared to have great day of shooting there.

We have a block of rooms reserved for the event at The Inn at Morro Bay, rooms starting at $149. Call (805) 772-5651 and let them know you are with The Liberal Gun Club to get our reserved rate and rooms. Make your reservation now! You must call by phone and speak to a human, this deal is not available online.

There are two types of registration this year: Range fees are not included in registration fees.

Basic: $12 Includes coffee and donuts along with make your own sandwiches for lunch on Saturday. This is for folks who need to head home before dinner

Deluxe : $65 Includes the breakfast/lunch, and dinner at the Inn at Morro Bay on Saturday night after our meeting.  We will be announcing the menu when it's finalized, there will be vegetarian and vegan options available. This will be an evening not to be missed with your LGC colleagues.

UPDATE: We will be offering a clinic on the action range Friday April 26 2019. Details TBA, but last year was a 3-gun clinic with Amy Dillon. She is the education director for 3 Gun Nation and an experienced competitor. We had a great time last year and expect that this year will be at least as fun!

    Friday 26 April:

09:00:  Event to be announced. We are awaiting the status of being able to use an action bay for a clinic. There may be another enticing class if the action bays are not available. Of course an extra day of long-distance steel shooting wouldn't be a bad option either!

Friday evening: Arrival at inn. Members meet up in hotel bar as they arrive.

    Saturday 27 April:

08:00 Registration: Opens in the education center at SLOSA. Come check in to say hello and have Coffee and pastries.  Pay your range fees at the range shack and get ready for a fun day.

9 AM rifle and pistol line! Saturday 14 is Rifle and Pistol range day with our annual meeting in the afternoon. SLOSA is a steel-pinging kind of place both on the pistol line, and the rifle line out to 700 yards.  Bring plenty of ammo!

12:00-1:00- Lunch in the education center. - Come by and grab a quick bite. We will be offering Self-serve Sandwiches

15:00- 17:00 Annual chapter meeting- SLOSA Education center. Soft drinks, water, and snacks will be available. Chapter officers will be giving reports on the chapter's status and we will set out the chapter's goals for the year. Lara Smith, our national spokesperson, will also speak about her efforts at the national level.

19:00- Dinner at Inn at Morro Bay- Bay View Room . We will let folks know about the menu when it is finalized. But get ready for a fine meal as part of a memorable evening.

    Sunday 28 April.

08:30:  Education center: Coffee and Donuts

Afterwards head over to the Trap and Skeet field for some clays. Or head back up to the Rifle and Pistol line if you wish.

12:00- Official end to event- Folks can get lunch on the road home or make sandwiches with remaining lunch stuff from Saturday.

We will be taking payment through Paypal online. Please do register if you are planning to pay cash in person on the day of the event.

We are looking forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions about the event or Morro Bay, send me a message and I'll do my best to answer your question.
