Join the Massachusetts (and New England) Chapter for our second range day and BBQ of 2024!
We'll be shooting outdoors at Maynard Rod and Gun Club (MRGC) in Maynard, MA. We have reserved their action range starting at 8:30AM. Shooting isn't allowed until 9:30AM, so we'll have time for a safety briefing and setup before we begin. Our range access ends at 1PM. We've also reserved the pavilion from noon-5PM.
Non-MA residents are welcome, just don't bring firearms or ammo unless you have a non-resident permit (we'll work with you to borrow firearms and you can reimburse folks for ammo).
The range is relatively small (15 yards is about the max distance), but it's outside and rifle calibers are allowed. Please do not bring/use steel-core ammunition, and please no reloaded ammunition. Please also be respectful of others on the range if you're going to be shooting something particularly loud or concussive. Common courtesy rules apply.
Range Rules:
All non-MRGC members must sign the club waiver. There will be a mandatory formal safety briefing (Fundamental Safety, General Safety, Range-specific Rules, Medical Emergency Plan). If you arrive after we've started shooting, please check in with Clint or Dany for a briefing before unpacking any firearms. The range is handled as a cold range. That means no loaded firearms on your person unless you are at the firing line. No drawing from a holster, handling from a bench only.

The cost is $25/person, which covers the range time and the pavilion rental. We'll order pizza, and have water/iced tea available. Please bring some cash to contribute towards the food, and something to share with your fellow LGC'rs.
We'll also have ample room and time to have a swap meet at the pavilion. Got a holster you hate? Mags you don't use? Tactical gear that's not your thing? Novelty stickers/patches that you bought/acquired and won't use? Sell them and use the money to buy other stuff, or trade for more stuff!
