NY/NJ Meet, Greet & Shoot Session- 2

Hello Team,

We hope you’ve been keeping up with the ever-changing landscape of gun laws in both New York & New Jersey. 

We are happy to invite you to our May Meet, Greet & Shoot event for an opportunity to shoot and network with likeminded people. The event will run in two sessions to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to attend:

  • ·         Session 1 – from 11am to 1pm
  • ·         Session 2 – from 2pm – 4pm

Members are welcome to stay longer depending on the total number of participants registered.

The event will be hosted at a private members-only range in Mount Vernon, NY. As such, there will be a fee of $30 per person to defray the cost to the facility owner.

We will have guns and ammunition available onsite for members who currently don’t have a permit or are unable to transport their firearms into New York state.

The fee will help defray facility cost as well as cover the following:

  • Ø  Pizza
  • Ø  Snacks
  • Ø  Soda
  • Ø  Ammunition
  • Ø  Range clean-up

Activities will include:

  • Ø  Shooting
  • Ø  Brief presentation on current NYS Gun Laws
  • Ø  Update on deadlines for permit recertification, especially for NYC, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk County residents

Knowledgeable members from NJ are welcome to come to share New Jersey specific laws.

Volunteer LGC member Instructors and RSOs who are also duly authorized by New York State will be on site to coach, offer refresher and ensure safety.

Parking:

Streetside Parking is free in Mt. Vernon on Sundays

Municipal Parking is also free on Sundays. The nearest Municipal Parking structure is located on:

East Sidney Avenue (Level 2, wherever you see municipal meters)

Cross streets are Gramatan Ave & North 3rd Ave

Arrival:

Arrive at least 15 minutes early to attend the safety briefing for your session.

What to bring:

Eye protection

Ear protection (we will have a few available at the range if you don’t have one).

Wear closed toe shoes and proper range attire.

Each session is posted as a separate event for the purpose of staying within the fire code occupancy limit. Note that each session will require separate registration.
