We are holding our monthly chapter meeting on February 28th at 8pm. We normally schedule our meetings for Thursdays but with a short week and some work-related responsibilities, its best to move it to a Tuesday for this month.
Few pieces of news:
- Elite Shooting Sports will close sometime later this year. Prince William County bought it to use for use as a police training facility. Unfortunately the other public ranges in NOVA do not have an 100 Yard indoor range.
- LGC DMV will start a regular monthly range trips at Silver Eagle Group in Ashburn, VA followed by dinner. We expect to schedule our 1st club range trip for March 18. We will follow the range trip with dinner nearby. For members who find it too far to travel too, we are happy to help you stand up a local range day.
- LGC sent a team to The SHOT Show in Vegas. What happened in Vegas isn't staying in Vegas. They will do a recap on the February 8th at 7:3pm ET.
- The Pistol Brace ban was published in the Federal Register. If this affects you, there are options. Visit our Discord and go to the "All the NFA" channel and check pinned messages. If you have questions, engage an attorney who specializes in NFA issues in your state for guidance.
Here is a quick agenda:
- Brief follow up to lobby day. We may need to follow up this summer with our elected representatives to get LGC added as a CHL training provider.
- We had a very productive meeting with members of the Washington County Democratic Party. We have some next steps.
