LGC DMV Lobby Day prep.

Hello Virginia LGCers! 

The State Legislature is going into session later this month.  We plan to hold video conferences with our elected representatives.  We are planning to hold our lobbying day on January 21, 2022.

We will start need to start contacting Democrats to remind them we exist and start shaping legislative goals for the coming term. Our goals include:

1. Fixing the excesses of the red-flag law.

1. Reduce the ability of municipalities to enact arbitrary and difficult to follow laws on where firearms can be carried. 
   
2. Promote evidence based suicide and violence-prevention programs. 
   
3. Urge our representatives to repeal racist gun laws.
