LGC Ohio June 19th Range Day

This is LGC: Ohio’s first Range day of 2021. Friends and family are welcome, and the range day is not limited to LGC members (the event will be cross posted in a few other groups). As this is our first range day I am looking forward to meeting many of you at the range. As such I just want to go over a few things:

1. Delaware Wildlife area Shooting range is a public range. You will need a state pass to shoot there. It is $5 for a single day pass or $25 for the year, it is likely we will have more range days at public ranges (at least one more is planned), so a year pass would be a good investment.
2. As this is a public shooting range, we will have little control over our ability to get shooting spots. We recommend people try and come early and share the spots with other attendees. We also expect people to be courteous and to set a good example for other members and the public.
3. If attending, LGC needs a waiver filled out. This can be done on the event registration page, or in person at the event. This is for all attendees, not just LGC Members. Minors are permitted to attend with a legal guardian.
4. We are still reeling from the effects of an ammo shortage and exceptionally high prices. While it is ultimately up to the individuals involved, be courteous when asking to share ammo. If you do not reload, and you are willing, please offer brass to our reloaders.
5. Masks are optional, though we do ask if you are unvaccinated, to wear one. Ohio will have dropped their mask mandate by the time of our event so expect the range to be full of unmasked individuals regardless of vaccination status. As usual, we recommend bringing hand sanitation.
6. Attendees are expected to follow range safety rules and to ask to handle anyone’s firearms and equipment.
7. Plan to bring paper target, duct tape, clips, etc for the range.
8. If there is interest afterword, we may look for a local place to grab dinner. If attending early, packing a lunch is advisable. Bring plenty of water.
9. Currently the event is limited to 55 people and guests.
