The history and traditions of African Americans and firearms goes back to before the founding of the United States of America. From Crispus Attucks and the initial fight for freedom, to Harriet Tubman and the fight to end slavery, to Ida B Wells and the early civil rights movement, to Malcom X, the Deacons for Defense and Justice, the Black Panther Party, and others instrumental in the fight to end Jim Crow and other forms of 20th century systemic racism, to today’s organizations such as the National African American Gun Association, the history is a rich and storied one. However, as history has also shown, it is not one without its perils – dangers that are unique to being an African American gun owner.

Join us as we ask a panel of five AA gun owners of varying experience levels – from novice to professional – about their unique perspectives on gun ownership, how and when they got into the gun world, what made them take the leap despite the perils, and their individual experiences since becoming gun owners.

Questions will be answered live in Zoom, but you can also provide questions in advance on the Members Lounge Facebook page, Discord or by emailing lgcevents@theliberalgunclub.com

And as always, you can view this event if you can't make it to the livestream after the fact on our website at https://theliberalgunclub.com/online-learning

Once you've registered, keep an eye on your email for the event details and meeting URL!
