We're trying out the Naperville SPB location this time, I had a great meet with the manager and the RO we'll see that day, and I put down a deposit. Fee I'm collecting this time is $32 per person, as I didn't anticipate the added tax charge last time. This will include, per person, a rental gun if you'd like to try anything in their cases.
I'd like to reiterate that each attendee can rent a gun - this seemed to be missed the last couple times we've shot, one gun rental is included in your $32 paid fee. Also included is either 1 box of 9mm (50 rds) OR 2 boxes .223 (40 rds), one paper target, and eyes/ears if you need them.

If you haven't attended a Meet & Shoot with us before, be prepared for a very fast hour! Bring all the guns you want to show to others and/or shoot yourself. This ends up being a "round robin" of sorts where we will lay out what we've brought/rented (range rules, guns stay in the lane they're uncased into, and the people move around). We have 6 lanes reserved, and we'll try to spread the guns among the lanes as evenly as possible so we can all get a chance to check them out and try.
I'm opening this event up to guests, subject to the fee, of course. You and your guest MUST BE EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS. Members should have a FOID anyway, and while your guest doesn't have to, they must be at least 48" tall (no age minimum) and they must need no extra instruction! Instructing is not allowed at SPB so if the person ends up needing help, they will have to simply stand back and observe, they will not be allowed to handle firearms if they are not already familiar with the rules of safety or cannot load/unload/fire weapons on their own without help.
Our lane time starts at 3pm. I have the event starting at 2:30 so we can use a classroom as a meeting/staging area. We will be able to gather there before and after the lane time. It's a fast, fun hour! Bring your favorite guns and get ready to try out some new ones!
